Ang Lee's film "Life of Pi" will be the opening night film at the 50th New York Film Festival.
The festival is scheduled to run September 28th – October 14th, 2012.
On September 29th, Lee will join The Hollywood Reporter's Chief Film Critic and NYFF selection committee member Todd McCarthy @ the Walter Reade Theater to discuss his career. The event is part of the festival's HBO series: Director's Dialogue.
