Former Director of Programming at the Film Society of Lincoln Center, former Head Programmer of the New York Film Festival and host of Reel 13 Classics on PBS Channel Thirteen, Richard Peña will be honored on the eve of his retirement from Columbia University for his work the last 25 years as a professor.
Peña has selected six films that are of particular importance to him and his career. The series of films that will screen over the dates of December 1-3, 2023 will culminate with an in-person discussion moderated by MoMA curator Josh Siegel. Professor Peña will reflect on his career as New York City's most influential film curator.
