The Paley Center for Media is currently accepting applications for the 2024 Hearst High School Media Internship. This 5 week paid internship will encompass Media Literacy, Digital Media Learning, Media Career Development and Mentorship. Students in the program will be able to meet high-profile industry professionals and learn about their career paths while receiving career advice. Going behind the scenes of news rooms, podcast studios and television production sets are among the program's highlights. Students will strengthen writing and research skills by producing an original podcast and building an industry network.

Highschool 11th and 12th grade students are eligible to apply. The application deadline is April 5th by 5pm. Candidates will be notified April 26th if they will be able to interview for the internship. The internship schedule has non-negotiable dates of attendance. A letter of recommendation from a teacher or mentor must be submitted to be considered for the internship.

Interns will gain skills in public speaking, production research, script and column writing, editing and audio production all that are crucial for college and career readiness.
