LIKE THEY DO IN THE MOVIES is currently a one man performance at Perelman Performing Arts Center in lower Manhattan. Laurence Fishburne is the playwright and performer in this show about "The stories and lies people have told me. And that I have told myself." Fishburn's storytelling skills are directed by Leonard Foglia.

The play has a running time of two hours and 20 minutes, including one intermission. The play's scheduled performances are being held until March 31, 2024. On March 22, Fishburne will be joined by actor, writer, teacher Anna Deavere Smith post-show for a discussion on the creative process behind LIKE THEY DO IN THE MOVIES.
