THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE opens wide in the US on Friday, April 19, 2024. The film had its NYC premiere Monday night, April 15th at the AMC Lincoln 13 on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Directed by Guy Ritchie, the film is based the book "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare: How Churchill's Secret Warriors Set Europe Ablaze and Birth to Modern Black Ops" by Damien Lewis. Guy Ritchie, in addition to directing the film, helped to co-write the film for the screen. The screenplay is by Paul Tamasy, Eric Johnson, Arash Amel, and Guy Ritchie.
Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the film stars Henry Cavill, Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusanmokun, Henrique Saga, Til Schweiger, with Henry Golding and Cary Elwes. This action-comedy film tells the story of the first-ever special forces organization formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials. The motley crew combat unit goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly "Ungentlemanly" fighting techniques. This approach ultimately changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare.
Lionsgate presents the film in association with Black Bear, a Jerry Bruckheimer Films/Toff Guy production. Find a few pics from the NYC Monday night premiere here:
