Hamptons Film Festival Brings Stars To Long Island

The 32nd annual Hamptons International Film Festival will run October 4-14, 2024. HIFF 2024 is presented by Regina K. Scully Artemis Rising Foundation with screenings and events taking place across the Hamptons. The opening night film on Friday, October 4, will be the East Coast Premiere of MARTHA. Directed by Academy Award nominated and EMMY and Peabody Award-winning director R.J. Cutler, the film profiles American businesswoman and lifestyle personality Martha Stewart. R.J. Cutler and Martha Stewart are scheduled to attend the festival and participate in a post-screening talkback.

Morning Talks will take place throughout the festival and are free and open to the public to attend with no ticket required. Morning Talks include:

  • MORNING TALKS: THE NEW BUSINESS OF INDEPENDENT FILM

The four weekend mornings of talks are being held at Village Bistro in East Hampton. Join the special guests for food and lively conversation.

The closing night film is Searchlight Pictures' NIGHTBITCH on October 13 with festival programming continuing through Monday, October 14. 
The film is from writer/director Marielle Heller and stars Amy Adams and Scoot McNair. Adams' character puts a pause on her career to be a stay-at-home mom when her new domesticity takes a surreal turn. Marielle Heller is scheduled to attend the festival and participate in a post-screening Q&A.

"We feel incredibly fortunate to bring not only some of the most talked-about films of the season to this year's edition of the festival, but also many of the talented voices at the helm of these projects as well," said HamptonsFilm Artistic Director David Nugent. "It is always a treat when we are able to enrich the moviegoing experience for our audiences with these uniquely intimate conversations with artists and filmmakers."

The festival will also honor Demi Moore with Career Achievement in Acting Award, Liev Schreiber with the festival's Dick Cavett Artistic Champion Award, Malcolm Washington with Breakthrough Director Award, Clarence Maclin with Breakthrough Performer 2024, and Meg LeFauve and Dave Holstein with Achievement in Screenwriting Award for their work on Disney's INSIDE OUT 2.

Demi Moore, Liev Schreiber, will participate in person conversation events. Malcolm Washington and Clarence Maclin are participating in Q&A's following their film screenings.
