The Criterion Mobile Closet will be at Brooklyn Bridge Park in partnership with St. Ann's Warehouse. The bus of films recently had two weekends at the New York Film Festival and will be in Brooklyn Bridge Park on October 26 and 27 from 10am to 6pm. The road tour is in celebration of the Criterion Collection's 40th anniversary.
You do not need a reservation and there are no advanced ticket or time slots. Just show up and find your place in line. Up to three people can share that closet at one time. The van has over one thousand films for you to choose from and they film your experience while inside. There is no pressure to perform or talk about your selections. The experience is yours to create. You are also welcome to use your own camera to film or photograph your experience and there is even a wall mount you are welcome to use. Three minutes is your time inside and a polaroid pic of you upon leaving will be your souvenir. A tote bag and guide will also be given out while supplies last.
The mobile closet is a replica of the original closet housed in their Manhattan office. To find out more about The Criterion Closet, follow this link:
