Entertainment Industry Talks Pride

In celebration of Pride Week in NYC and to further the conversation of local entertainment industry jobs, the National Black Theatre will welcome the public to a free talk in hopes of bringing African American SGL/LGBTQ entertainment entrepreneurs, professionals, directors, and producers together. The event, being held on Monday, June 23rd, is open to anyone who is interested in obtaining more insight into the entertainment industry opportunities in New York.

"Made in NY": Flipping the Script - The Next Chapter of SGL/LGBTQ Portrayal in the Media will be presented by the NYC Mayor's Office of Media & Entertainment working in partnership with Global Pride Business Coalition, The National Black Theatre, Global Network of Black Pride and Harlem Pride. The talk is scheduled for 7:00p.m. and the credited guests Q&A will follow:

Yoruba Richen, Director and Producer (The New Black)
Stanley Bennett Clay, Director/Producer (You Are Not Alone)
Shari Carpenter, Director (Wonder) & Script Supervisor (American Gangster)
