The Bronx Filmmakers Collective is working with Bronx River Art Center and Bronx River Alliance to celebrate Earth Day this year. Earth Day is April 22 and they are putting together The Bronx River Film Diaries.
This will take place over a week. It starts April 19 at 10:30am and kicks off with a public workshop at Bronx River Arts Center. The main part of the project is a filmmaking challenge, so during the workshop, there will be a presentation about everything including the rules. Expect about 2 hours.
Filmmakers can use phones and digital cameras to shoot and edit films from the 19th through April 23rd. Then, there will be a public screening of submitted films and Earth Day celebration on April 25th at 7pm at BRAC. Selected works will remain on exhibit at BRAC for a month.
The Bronx River Art Center is located at 1087 East Tremont Avenue.
