Trevor Noah named new host of The Daily Show

Trevor Noah has been named the new host of The Daily Show. Comedy Central president Michele Ganeless released the announcement today. The start date of Trevor Noah's hosting is still to come.

Trevor Noah was introduced to American audiences in 2012 by the authoritative channels that be in American entertainment, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Show with David Letterman. Noah has over 2 million followers amassed on his social media platforms. From South Africa, he is famous and has had a successful journey that includes a talk show in South Africa, produced a one man show that sold out Edinburgh Comedy Festival 2012, and stand-up comedy tours.

The Daily Show airs Monday-Thursday at 11:00 p.m. and repeats at 1:00 a.m. the same night. The following day you can catch the show at 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. ET/PT. Full episodes are viewable for streaming at thedailyshow.cc.com and on the Comedy Central App.
