Fort Tilden Screenings at IFC Center

(released 8/11/2015)

Fort Tilden is not just a beach destination anymore.  It is a movie about twentysomethings getting to the beach.

The brainchild of directors Sarah-Violet Bliss and Charles Rogers, Fort Tilden was conceived, written, and produced in the summer of 2013.  It went on to win the Grand Jury Prize for Narrative Feature at the 2014 SXSW Film Festival.  Bliss and Rogers have since moved to LA and in a an ironic twist are currently co-working on Jax Media's Search Party, which is scheduled to shoot back in New York.

Bliss and Rogers have joined the stars of Fort Tilden this week at promotional screenings in the city.  The two stars are Bridey Elliott and Clare McNulty.  All four were at a Videology screening on Sunday, August 9th.  They are following that up with screenings and Q&A's at the IFC Center on Thursday, August 13 after the 7:45pm show and on Friday, August 14 after the 7:30pm show.

Also starring in the film are Alysia Reiner (Orange Is the New Black), Neil Casey (SNL writer), Peter Vack, and Griffin Newman.

Fort Tilden was picked up by Orion Pictures and is being distributed on VOD and a limited theatrical release.
