Sketch and improv writers looking to transition to TV can learn from working TV writers. Jim Biederman (Writer / Executive Producer: Join or Die with Craig Ferguson, Kids in the Hall, The Tom Green Show) along with Ali Farahnakian (P.I.T. founder, SNL Writer, sketch performer for Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and appeared on Adult Swim) will speak at a panel on April 7, 2016.
The New York Television Festival is presenting this TV Town Hall to encourage talent to be prepared for the upcoming NYTVF 2016 being held in October. The festival is known to connect artists who have submitted work to development decision makers at many television network affiliates. The free to attend town hall will include drink tickets for the first fifty people to arrive. The doors are at 6:15p.m., the panel begins at 6:30p.m., and the networking and drinks will commence from 7:30 to 9:00p.m.
The TV Town Hall will be held at the P.I.T. located at 123 E. 24th Street in New York. To attend, go the festival's page and click to attend.
