Inaugural Shortie Film Festival in Brooklyn

The inaugural SHORTIE FILM FESTIVAL launches October 3rd and 4th, 2019. Audiences seeking new voices and perspectives will find this 30 minute or less short film festival programmed with emerging and provocative filmmakers.
Two evenings of film, Q and A with filmmakers and after parties are on the schedule. Screenings will be held at ASI Studios. ASI Studios is located at 110 Waterbury Street in Brooklyn.

6-10p.m. Main competition, Fiction
Friday, October 4, 2019
8-11p.m. Main Competition, Fiction and Documentary
11p.m. Awards Ceremony
The SHORTIE FILM FESTIVAL in its inaugural year received over 300 submissions from 40 countries for their international short film festival open call. Entries are selected by submission only and must be produced in the last two years. The festival accepts films of all genres and subject matter without censure.
All screened films at the festival will be eligible for Best Film. Awards will also be presented in eight categories: Best Social Justice / Investigative Film, Best Fiction, Best Documentary, Best First Film, Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Soundtrack.
