Philip K Dick Sci-Fi Film Festival is March 4-8

(released 3/3/2020)

The Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival will be taking place March 4-8, 2020 in Astoria Queens. The festival celebrates the novelist Philip K. Dick.

"PKD had his finger on the pulse of today's society and our future," festival founder and director of the event Daniel Abella said. "His work resonates so well because he explored themes of artificial intelligence, the surveillance state, and the genetic modification of humans. He established himself as an icon of science fiction, which is truly the science of tomorrow."

A Sci-Fi and supernatural screenplay competition has been introduced this year and the winners will be announced March 8th. This is the 8th annual festival and will be based exclusively in Queens at the Museum of Moving Image. The Museum of Moving Image is located at 36-01 35th Avenue, Astoria, Queens 11106.
