NY Social Justice Film Festival This Week

The Marlene Meyerson JCC on the Upper West Side is holding its Cinematters: NY Social Justice Film Festival online. The dates for this second iteration are January 14-18, 2021.
The purpose of this festival is to engage the community through film toward a more democratic, inclusive, and just society. There are online screenings, live Q&A's online with filmmakers, and even a virtual networking event among filmmakers in conjunction with IFP.
As you can tell by the dates, this festival coincides in theme and remembrance of the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. The opening night film is MLK / FBI. It is being accompanied by actress and ambassador for Cinematters, Mayim Bialik (Blossom, Big Bang Theory) as well as a Q&A with director Sam Pollard.
