Sex and the City without Samantha is not quite the same. The Reboot "And Just Like That" is currently in production in the city.
On July 14th, we found the crew trucks and equipment surrounding SET 1, the first location of the day, the Whitney Museum.
The shows logline reads:
The Max Original AND JUST LIKE THAT..., the new chapter of the groundbreaking HBO series "Sex and the City," follows "Carrie" (Sarah Jessica Parker), "Miranda" (Cynthia Nixon) and "Charlotte" (Kristin Davis) as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.
The cast includes Sara Ramírez, Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson and Evan Handler.
An extra call went out for upscale SOHO lunch patron types, models, and New York background actors responded in their fine threads and styled hair and makeup ready for set 1. The set comprised of the museum restaurant with a busy dining experience in motion as cameras rolled closer to the Maître d' at the front of the lengthy atrium glass dining room.
Set 2 on July 14th was located in the East Village on Avenue A, between 3rd and 4th and beyond as the trucks' load-in was on the perimeter of Tompkins Square Park.
The show is going to be ten episodes.
