The DUMBO Film Festival will be October 14-18, 2022 in DUMBO Brooklyn. The 2022 DFF will take place at the Rooftop at Time Out Market, Stuart Cinema & Cafe, and Usagi NY Arts Gallery. The opening night party takes place Friday, October 14 at 7pm on the Rooftop at Time Out Market (55 Water Street). This is a great opportunity to have a free drink, network with fellow filmmakers and artists like you, while taking in the beautiful views.
Saturday and Sunday, the film blocks will be screening at Stuart Cinema and Cafe. This family run independent cinema house is located at 79 West Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222. Screenings start at noon on Saturday and at 1pm on Sunday. Support your neighborhood cinema by catching a block of flicks and grab a snack or meal off their cafe menu. Popcorn, sodas, sweets, as well as vegan options, alcohol, tater tots and empanadas are some of the cafe's offerings.
On Monday, the final blocks will screen beginning at 5p.m. at Stuart Cinemas. Check the program as many of the films have Q and A sessions after screenings. Tuesday, the closing gala and awards will be held at the USAGI Art Gallery. Best of category winners will be announced as well as the top prize of the Grand Bridge Award. The Grand Bridge Award is the Best Film of the Year chosen among all finalists and is assigned by the panel of jurors and the board of directors. The jurors for this festival are Oscar and BAFTA award recognized filmmakers.
