The New York African Film Festival is a 32 year strong annual curated event for 3 weeks in the spring. In collaboration with Film at Lincoln Center, Maysles Cinema, and Brooklyn Academy of Music's BAMcinematek.
Classic and contemporary films are screened as well as rarely seen archival footage. Films are followed by discussions with filmmakers and other film experts. Workshops and public talks also appear on the schedule.
The festival will run May 7-31, 2025 and is currently accepting regular deadline submissions until January 24, 2025. Gather more details for submission to this year's festival here:
