MoMI's First Look Festival is This Week

The 14th First Look festival is this week running March 12-16.  First Look is the Museum of the Moving Image's showcase of films bringing fresh looks.

They want New York audiences to experience works from around the world inviting openness and curiosity.

The opening night film is Bonjour Tristesse on Wednesday at 7pm. The director Durga Chew-Bose will be there for a Q&A as well as actress Lily McInerny.

There will be work in progress presentations on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, Sloan Student Prizes will be awarded along with readings of excerpts from these projects.

There are many films and showcases in between and the festival closes Sunday evening with the feature Diciannove from director Giovanni Tortorici and he will be in-person at the screening.
