The Astoria Film Festival is set to begin Thursday, May 29 from 5-8pm at the Museum of Moving Image. This first evening will be a Student Showcase of all Student Workshop Films from 2024-2025.
The Youth portion of the festival continues through May 31st. The Zukor Theater will also house the Student and Youth film screenings. Youth films will be high school, middle school and those under the age of 24 years old.
Animation sessions are scheduled for Friday, May 30 at Zukor Theater and Saturday May 31st at Korean Culture Center New York.
The main festival will be held at Zukor Theater starting June 1. The festival will feature short films, animations from around the world, filmmaker panels, awards, prizes, parties and red carpets.
