September 11th Documentary at the Library

(released 8/19/2025)

In recognition of the anniversary of the September 11th attacks, the New York Public Library is screening "7 days in September". The screening will take place in the Celeste Auditorium in the Stephen A Schwarzman Building in Midtown AKA the main library. The movie starts at 6:30pm and will be followed by a conversation with the Director Steven Rosenbaum, Co-Producer Pamela Yoder, and historian Kenneth T. Jackson.

7 Days in September draws on footage from 27 filmmakers—ranging from professionals to amateurs—to offer a ground-level view of the emotional, physical, and civic response to unimaginable tragedy. From a firefighter's wife to a Muslim-American woman to an 11-year-old boy, the film captures the raw, unfiltered experiences of New Yorkers as their worlds are being forever changed.
