TRAIN DREAMS is a feature film that adapts Denis Johnson's novella of the same name. This film tells the story of Robert Grainier, a logger and railroad worker.
Clint Bentley, who directed the film, will be Reimagining Denis Johnson on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 7-8PM at The New York Public Library, Stephan A. Schwarzman Building, 42nd Street & 5th Avenue in Manhattan. Bentley will screen clips from the film and speak about adapting Johnson's work from page to screen.
TRAIN DREAMS stars Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones, William H. Macy, and Kerry Condon. To join the in-person event, arrive when you can but know doors open 30 minutes prior to the event and the room will be overbooked to ensure a full house. The 30-minute mark will also be when a stand-by line will be created before the program. Unclaimed seats will be released shortly before the program starts.
