NORTHSIDE BROOKLYN This Weekend

Northside Brooklyn will take place June 7-11, 2017. The festival focuses on music and innovation. The schedule is peppered with upcoming sounds, and sights that leaders of industry are collaborating and presenting to other well informed audiences. Panels, pitch sessions, networking, musicians, entrepreneurs, digital doers, politicians and parties are scheduled in the various venues of Williamsburg, Greenpoint, and Bushwick.
Williamsburg's Bedford Avenue will shut down for a street stroll of art, music, and interaction open to the community on Saturday and Sunday, June 10 and 11th. The street becomes a public park from Metropolitan to N 12th street.

ALWAYS PLAY IN TRAFFIC: WHY ENTREPRENEURS NEED TO SHARE THEIR WORK, is an example of a morning festival panel taking place this year. Political? THE BUSINESS AND ART OF COVERING TRUMP: THE POWER OF TIME TO IGNITE SOCIAL AND DIGITAL ENGAGEMENT, or maybe VICE IN CONVERSATION WITH U.S. SENATOR KIRSTEN GILLIBRAND or a sit down with Mayor Bill DeBlasio can all be found on the innovation schedule.

Tribeca Film Festival Co-Founder JANE ROSENTHAL ON THE INTERSECTION OF GREAT VISUAL STORYTELLING AND TECHNOLOGY will be at noon on June 9, 2017. CINEMA OF SOUND: IS RADIO'S NARRATIVE ARC RESEMBLING TV?, DIRECTING OPINION: SHORT FILMS, BIG IMPACT WITH NY TIMES OP-DOCS, and REINVENTING LONGFORM DOCS: WHY TRUTH IS BETTER THAN FICTION, WITH VICE offer knowledge in several forms to filmmaker and content creator audiences.
