Free Screening of Minuscule in Greenpoint - Update

There is a free public screening of Minuscule, Valley of the Lost Ants (Minuscule – La vallée des fourmis perdues) being held Saturday, September 7th at 7:30pm in McGolrick Park in Greenpoint.  The original screening scheduled on June 10th was rained out.  The film is French/Belgian, but there is no dialog.  All ages can enjoy this animation.

Minuscule is a 2013 film directed by Hélène Giraud & Thomas Szabo.  It is described as:
In a peaceful little valley, the remains of an abandoned picnic sparks warfare between two tribes of rival ants. At stake, a box of sugar. So when a bold young ladybug finds herself caught in the middle of the battle, she befriends one the black ants, Mandible, whom together must protect the anthill from the encroaching red ant warriors, led by the fearful Butor.

This screening is sponsored by the French Embassy, North Brooklyn Parks Alliance, Council Member Stephen Levin, PS110 The Monitor School, and PS110 PTA.  This is part of Films on the Green 2019.

McGolrick Park is located in Greenpoint bounded by Nassau and Driggs Avenues on the North and South and Monitor and Russell Streets on the East and West.  map
