Bayside Historical Society Honors Women with Film

A film screening of The Journey will be Sunday, March 1 at the Bayside Historical Society. The event will celebrate Women's History Month this March by inviting the public and members to a documentary screening that chronicles Istrian women's emigration to America in the 1950's, 60's and 70's. Director Olivia Rutigliano weaves together 22 interviews of women's experiences and the home they made for themselves in New York.
The evening screening will offer an opportunity for discussion following the film with light refreshments being served. Cost is $5.00 for Bayside Historical Society members and $10.00 for non-members.
