Workers Unite Film Festival at Cinema Village

(released 10/17/2024)

The 13th Workers Unite Film Festival starts tomorrow, October 18 and runs through the 24th. All of the films will screen at Cinema Village.

These films highlight and publicize the struggles, successes and daily lives of all workers in their efforts to unite and organize for better living conditions and social justice.

The festival opens up with Gumbo Coalition followed by a Q&A with Director Barbara Kopple (Harlan County U.S.A., Miss Sharon Jones!) and special guest Marc Morial. National social justice leaders Marc Morial (NUL) and Janet MurguĂa (UnidosUS) join forces to fight structural racism in the Trump era.

Many more directors and producers will be at Q&A's representing their films. Please check out their festival website for more background or head to Eventbrite for tickets.
