Harlem International Film Festival This Week

The Harlem International Film Festival will be held September 14-18, 2016. Celebrating their 11th anniversary, the festival is dubbed the original "filmmakers festival".
The opening night will see a celebration of Prince and Purple Party. The closing night film is A New Color: The Art of Being Edythe Boone directed by Marlene "MO" Morris. Edythe Boone is a muralist, activist, and aunt to Eric Garner of Staten Island.
Festival screenings will take place at the MIST Harlem located at 46 West 116th Street, New York, NY 10026. More info at the festival's website here: http://harlemfilmfestival.org
