Montclair Film Festival Bringing Stars Out

The Montclair Film Festival is happening October 18-27, 2024. The festival will open up with CONCLAVE a film that follows the secretive and ancient events - selecting a new Pope. Cardinal Lawerence is played by Ralph Fiennes who is tasked with running the covert process after the unexpected death of the Pope. Ed Berger, the film's director, will be present following the screening for a Q&A.

The schedule of festival events includes a conversation with Ina Garten on October 20th, where your ticket includes a copy of her new book. Also, documentary MARTHA about Martha Stewart will screen on Sunday, October 20th. Nightbitch, Amy Adams' new film, is Sunday, October 27th.

The festival will close with Piano Lesson, a film adapted from August Wilson's Pulitzer-Prize winning work. The film is directed and co-written by Malcolm Washington and is feature directorial debut. From Oscar nominated producers Denzel Washington and Todd Black, and featuring an all-star cast including Samuel L. Jackson, John David Washington, Ray Fisher, Michael Potts, Erykah Badu with Danielle Deadwyler and Corey Hawkins. Q&A with Performance Award winner John David Washington & Breakthrough Director Malcolm Washington, moderated by Stephen Colbert follows the screening.
