Prismatic Ground Gives Experimental & Avant-Garde

Prismatic Ground held annually in New York City centers on experimental documentary and avant-garde film. This year is year six and will take place April 29-May 3, 2026. The 2026 venues will be:

Wednesday, 4/29 @ Brooklyn Academy of Music
Thursday, 4/30 @DCTV Firehouse Cinema
Friday, 5/1 @ Light Industry
Saturday, 5/2 @Anthology Film Archives
Sunday, 5/3 @ Anthology Film Archives & Metrograph

Opening Night Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Brooklyn Academy of Music, 6:30pm, I HEARD THAT THEY ARE NOT GOING TO SEE EACH OTHER ANYMORE is screening followed by a Q&A with director Ka Ki Wong. Closing Night Sunday, May 3, 2026, 9pm at Metrograph will include director Isiah Medina and his film GANGSTERISM followed by a Q&A with Medina.

A confidential workshop for film workers who focus on internationalism, anti-censorship, and solidarity network can openly learn to confront censorship, transnational repression and surveillance in exhibition practices, while sharing tips, lessons, resources, and solidarity-based tools for collective action. PROGRAMMING CENSORSHIP workshop will take place Thursday, April 30th, 12:30-2:30pm at DCTV Firehouse Cinema.
